Shoe Thrower is Beaten in Custody

BBC Writes:

The brother of the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at US President George W Bush has said that the reporter has been beaten in custody.

Muntadar al-Zaidi has allegedly suffered a broken arm, broken ribs and internal bleeding, his older brother, Dargham, told the BBC.

Mr Zaidi threw his shoes at Mr Bush at a news conference, calling him “a dog”.

A spokesperson for the Iraqi military says the journalist is in good health and said the allegations were untrue.

It is unclear whether the reporter may have been injured when he was wrestled to the floor at the news conference, or at a later point.

I don’t know whether to cheer or laugh. I’ll do both because someone got PWN3D!

Slipknot – All Hope Is Gone World Tour

Slipknot is coming through town on Feb. 22nd @ Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie. Me and my special one went to their show for their Vol. 3 tour and I gotta say it was probably the best show I’ve EVER been to. Sorry, mes. Slipknot will be touring with Coheed & Cambria (blegh!) and Trivium (Sweet!). Tickets go on sale this Saturday @ 10am. For my metalheads, this is a must see show! Me and 4 won’t be able to see this because we are excepting a newborn! WOOOT! Anywho, go to the show!

Wine… why not?

Well, I usually only have a glass of wine when me and Ivy go to her parent’s house.  They have wine with everything.  It’s just so strange to me, because, well… they are white.  I’m mexican.  You do the math.  Anywho, my lovely got me onto drinking wine from time to time.  Of course being the novice-wine-drinker that I am, I stuck mainly with Whites and Blushes.  Here recently, the past year or so, I’ve began to expand my horizons with the Reds.  Red wines are surprisingly good, of course this is after you build up your taste for them.  I’ve got to say that some of the best wine comes from grocery store’s and cost about $5 to $15.  What her favorite wine is Torres Sangre de Toro.  This is a good wine… but not to start off with.  So this is the bottle we buy the most, as it’s only about $5 at your local grocery store.

The above is a host of wines that yells and sleeps in Arizona.  It’s produced a nice range with names that make them even stranger than the host.  Such as: Anubis, Chupacabra, Shinola, Nagual de la Nagua, and Primer Paso.  I have yet to try one of these beautifully bottled demons but can’t wait to get a few.  These were mastered by the shadows at Merkin Vineyards and the Caduceus Cellars.  For more information go to www.caduceus.org and be patient.
