United 5 – 3 Rovers, Tevez is a Beast.

tevez

Tevez unleashed all that repressed Argentinian power against a not-so-forceful Blackburn. At a point in time when he was looked at reconsidering his future at Old Trafford, he unleashed all hell against the Rovers. Tevez scored 4 out of United’s 5 goals today. Nani also added to the tally, but was immensely overshadowed by Carlos Tevez. The game also re-introduced long-term favorite Paul Scholes who came on as a substitute after being out for about 9 weeks with a knee injury that he suffered in the Champions League. Rovers did manage to knock in 3 into the net, but the game was pretty much over about an hour into the contest.

The victory sends United into the next round of the Carling Cup with even more vigor. United have managed to net 9 goals in 3 games with 4-goals against. United look very much like the heavy favorite in the Cup as even our second-stringers keep tearing everyone apart.

  1. i was proved wrong, i thought that after all the time on the bench tevez had completely lost his touch, but im glad that i was wrong. Tevez looked on top form, even his early miss that soared over the net looked like it broke the sound barrier. While the 3 goals given up were not a factor as utd takes the 3 points, but i cant help but think that kuszczak looks a bit better between the posts than ben foster. Evra had a pretty bad defensive game, the 2nd goal that was given up im not even sure what he was doing, it did look like blackburn was offsides but he goes for a weak sliding tackle in the box from behind the attacker, and later goes on to blow another coverage. Looked like the whole left side was weak in a defensive standpoint. Im sure we can expect another strong showing against sunderland saturday.
